From Dream to Realization::

The publication of ‘Eternal Glamour' is made under different combinations. The whole process is really interesting. It all came from a jewellery design concept:
concept：	1 January 2005 - drafted a half-year plan for exhibitions in the studio s+clicks.
creation：	February - received a batch of vintage silvery accessories of Qing Dynasty and was determined to fuse them in modern jewellery design.
exhibition：	March - an jewellery exhibition “Eternal Glamour” was launched in the showroom of s+clicks. The encounters of both Chinese Vintage Silvery and contemporary design inspired me to link up the ‘East and West’ to make it as a new form.
cue：	A day in March - James raised an idea of publishing a book making use one of my jewellery collection Eternal Glamour. That would be quite meaningful.
	… March - James’s idea always bounced in my mind.
ideas：	March - I wonder if I could successfully publish a book regarding ‘jewellery, design, art… and life are not in pieces’.
action：	March - I met Bernard who has been working hard to execute my idea into a real and feasible plan, i.e. the publication of ‘Eternal Glamour’.
progress：	From April to September - thousands of ideas, meanings, messages, expression of feelings, words, images, mood …….. came across to mind Given the limited resources on hand, I tried hard to explore from boundless possibilities
birth：	September 2005 - the birth of my first ‘baby’ was given. For the first glance of the baby, an inexplicable feeling came along: ‘ ah ha :) hoi…… hei….. ‘ one of the greatest gift in my life!

Prologue::

The publication of this book is a kind of new try out. I expect to create a both meaningful and poetic reading matter.

The combination of both vintage silvery accessories from Qing dynasty and the contemporary design concept is like a pulling thread to make a knot: Jewellery, words and pictures are parts of life. By making use of these pictures and words, I do not only intend to share my creation concept and inspiration, but also hope to express my own feelings towards design, art and life.

‘Eternal Glamour’ represents a paradise with amenity, which a place can be seen or hidden in our own hearts. I hope every reader can agreeably appreciate each gorgeous scene that I create with my sincerity.

Content::

This book has 2 sessions. One is the jewelry items which exhibited in the exhibition named “Eternal Glamour” at s+clicks in March 2005. The designer (also the author) has made use of the Qing Dynasty’s silver & the nowadays material to form a contemporary jewelry collection. There has picture for each item, has words to explain the meaning of each pattern on silver: e.g. the story of “The Legend of A White Snake”; the use of “sash hanging” in ancient, there have different tool on sash hanging for weapon & living use; and the legendry story of “Qilin delivers a son”... Moreover, there has also mentioned the jewelry material used & inspiration for each design.

The another session is some articles that the author who writes her feeling & viewpoint on creation, art & life.

The book contains words, picture & design. Chi & Eng version, except of the Chinese culture & modern design, you would also find the author’s painting, the books she reads ... the human touch ... and her sincerity.
